So far we have discussed some basic facts about calories. Now, we need to find healthy ways to burn more calories so that we are able to lose some real pounds. I am more interested in finding ways which are free or cheap, and do not want to use any diet pills for burning calories.
There are many products in the market that promise to burn a large number of calories. If experts are asked about the ways to burn more calories effectively, their fist choice for burning calories will be walking which is a real big fat burner.
According to health experts, there are some ways better suited for burning extra fat in an effective way:
Keep on Moving
There are many kinds of exercise programs for burning calories like walking, jogging, running, swimming and step aerobics. We need to keep on moving to be able to burn more calories. Even our small steps in this direction will be helpful in burning some calories we intend to burn, like using stairs in place of lifts or do not driving your car if you are going somewhere near your house like going to the neighborhood market.
Small but frequent meals
Take small but frequent meals to speed up the calorie burning process and metabolism. When we eat small amounts of food at fixed intervals of time, our body has to keep on working to digest some food and to absorb some food and it requires energy.
Drink more water
Water is the easiest available source we can use. According to a study in Germany, drinking two liters of water per day can help us to burn 100 more calories at the end of day. Some health experts suggest drinking more cold water. According to them, our bodies have to burn some calories in order to bring that water temperature to our body temperature.
Choose spicy stuff
Looks strange to me but its true that spicy foods like Ginger, cayenne, jalapeno peppers and Tabasco sauce can increase our body fat burning ability that was even suggested by some researchers from Japan.
Take Enough sleep
Taking proper amount of sleep not only keeps you fresh and healthy for the whole day, but will also help to speed up your metabolism up to 40 percent, as found by a Chicago University research.
Taking breakfast
Do not forget to take breakfast in the morning. If we take a healthy breakfast, we feel less hungry during the day and we tend to eat less. And when we have not taken our breakfast, we just love to eat some fast food items after reaching our office or work place which is not good at all. According to recent researches we tend to eat more calories when we have not taken our breakfast.
Take some Green Tea
According to a research performed by Switzerland University, drinking green tea can increase our body ability of burning more calories. Try to drink three cups of green tea per day if you like it.
Eat healthy at restaurant
If you have to eat in a restaurant, order less greasy food and that too in smaller portions. And do not over eat!! One should only have as much is sufficient for the body. Every extra calorie is added on as fat onto your body.
Turn the TV Off
Many early researches recommend turning the TV off especially if you are taking your meals. The brain’s ability to tell you when to stop eating and send you the signal that you are full, goes down when you are watching TV, while having your meal.
